If anyone is looking into buying a new gaming PC let me know. I have built my last couple gaming PC myself and have saved a lot of money this way.

I would say the min would be about 800.00 to 1000.00. Really all depends on if you need an os or if you want amd or intel.

I really don't now much about apples os or linux those are some of the new projects got going.

Amd is diffently cheaper but I wouldn't say better. I run a top of the line intel in one machine and a top of the line amd in the other game play is about the same but as far as multi tasking intel is far better.

As far as the AMD being better than the intel..no it is not. You could get the best AMD has to offer withs its quadcore, which does beat alot of Intels chips, but the higher end Intel chips do beat AMD. But if your looking for price AMD is the way to go, becouse you can end up spending 100 bucks less with AMD

Hey guys my computer now got a really bad virus on it and messed it up sadly beyond good repair. So I am looking now to build a new one, but nothing to expensive, roughly a price range from 400-550. But i would like the componets on it to be basic parts, but parts that i can put much better upgrades on it, mainly the motherboard. Please help!!! pale

Well with that one, i was wondering if i could get it withouht the Gfx card?

And if not then my question is what if i wanted to make one from scratch, because the only hard question i have is the operating system on the hard drive for when i make it.
And about the motherboard supporting the processor and RAM.

if i were you i would take it in, or at least go to the mall area and talk with the guy in the computer repair shop (not the future shop or brand shop but actuall computer place with ASUS cards and stuff. you will either be getting some tips that you can take home or he will have to take a look at it, see if he can save some files on the HDD, ect ect.

Thanks Smile
Im sure this will help because my other Anti-virus programs are not getting rid of the real source of the trojan or virus. My responses may be alil off because I use the computers when I go to class.

But I will try those programs tonight and will see what happens!

i dont know much about about virus... but from whaty i know the virus is in the HDD (hard drive). if you format it or troew some magnets at it or something should it not kill it? it cant go to the ram, cause the ram is only processing the info, not keeping it, and i dont think its gonna go to the BIOS, or hide in the videocard... maybe you can do a back up of the stuff you think is the least infected, but a virus can copy, infect and propagate trough anyfile it wants if its properly programed and dosent have enough counter-attacks from firewalls and anti-virus
