Stout uses a paid server admin system. We use this system for two very important reasons. First off, we want our servers to be managed by mature individuals that have something to lose if they screw off, and abuse their powers. Secondly we want to get this community as close to self sustaining as possible, as it is extremely expensive to operate.
Paid Administrator Access:
To acquire a server admin position, you need to follow several steps. First, read below and choose the admin level that suits your needs. Second, read the admin application format topic, and make note of the format. Your admin application should follow this format exactly; applications that deviate from the prescribed format will not be reviewed. Third, post your admin application, making sure to answer each question as honestly as possible. Fraudulent applications will be denied.
If you are accepted you will be asked for a donation in the amount of the admin level of your choosing. Once the donation is made, you will be given admin level 1 for a week, and from there move onto you’re paid for level. Each month thereafter will be on a 4 week rotation, and a donation will be expected again. Failure to make your required donation will result in the suspension of your admin powers. We will not tolerate any nonsense, and if you abuse your privileges they will be revoked without refund.
It is your responsibility to make sure your donation is received on time and in full. Community administrators will not track you down, or give you notice if your payment is late. Once we discover a past due admin, we will suspend their account without notice.
5 Ways to Help You Get Admin
1. Be active in our gaming servers and ventrilo.
2. Take a proactive role in our gaming servers, and do your best to follow and enforce all rules.
3. Once you apply chill out and wait for us to approve you. Don’t bother us going, can I have admin, and how do I get admin, admin please? admin? admin? This is part of the reason we don’t let children have admin, they are annoying, if you do this, you are too. We will notify you typically, but we don’t have a problem with you asking once or twice, make sure you ask people like Scorpion,WhiteDevil, or Point.
4. If you have mani admin experience this is a big plus, but is not required.
5. Here is a big one that really helps out a lot. If you play at times when other admins are not on, or can be sure to play when there isn't any on, or many people on and you tell us your sure you can get some people on during the hours most people are not, we don't care how you do it, but if you get people in the server when there normally isn't, or you think you can, we will love you more.
